"First Breath"

The Florida Manatee calf is pushed to the surface for its first breath of air.
Manatees are a critically endangered species.

My Valentine :-) gave me a wonderful assortment of graphite, charcoal and pastels. Couldn't wait to try the watersoluable graphite. The waviness developed after the piece dried. Looks like the graphite puddled in places.....mmmmm.......too much water maybe. I'll have to try this again.
