Strathmore has a line of translucent vellums that are wonderful to work with. I did this penguin on one layer of paper and then toned another layer of paper for the background. The tooth of the paper is barely visible - perfect for short haired or small feathered wildlife: penguins, horses, otters, ferrets, beaver, mink, hummingbirds, etc.
