It's always amazed me how hidden lions really are when stalking prey from within the tall grasses of Africa. If it weren't for the brown tips on the ears you really wouldn't see them at all.This is a pencil drawing on polymin. A new surface I've been experimenting with. I love the way the pencil feels on this material, very smooth. There is no tooth at all, and you cannot layer - so you are forced to build your shadows by choosing different pencil grades. Quite a challenge, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. :-)
